The pandemic put a stop to our flagship annual conferences. But we are looking to restart these next March.
Our conferences bring together a wide range of stakeholders to discuss the impacts of credit use on lower income households and to identify opportunities to work together to improve credit services and the support available to people with debt problems. Past events have heard from the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Shadow Economic Spokespersons, the Chief Executives of the Money and Pensions Service and Fair4All Finance, as well as from thought leaders drawn from across the banking, affordable credit, local government, social housing, and debt advice sectors. We’ve even had major international speakers including the Reverend Jesse Jackson, and the actor and activist Michael Sheen, speaking.
As the restrictions imposed to deal with the pandemic are easing we are once again considering whether to hold a physical conference in London. To help us gauge the demand for this, you can now register your interest. If there is sufficient interest then we plan to open up for early bird bookings in December 2021.
